Eggcorns, Mondegreens, and Other Errors

There are different kinds of malapropisms — mistaken expressions and mixed-up words. The flowchart below can help you to best describe a particular misstatement. You may recognise some of the examples.

I'm in Taipei again, and it appears to be snowing out the window... not much, but snow nevertheless. I landed in the middle of a typhoon, and the country is on typhoon-leave.
